When women come to work with me, we rarely start where they think we will.
A woman may come because she feels stuck in a habit she wants to change. Another may come because she keeps reacting in ways she doesn't understand. Someone else may come because she feels disconnected from herself and doesn't know why.
What we often discover is that there is much more underneath the behavior than what appears on the surface.
Together, we explore the thoughts, emotions, body sensations, beliefs, and experiences that may be influencing what is happening today.
We also pay attention to how the body responds to stress, pressure, emotions, and everyday life. Many women have spent years pushing through, overriding their feelings, and carrying more than their systems were designed to carry on their own. Over time, that can affect the way they react, make decisions, relate to themselves, and move through life.
Not to analyze every detail of the past. Not to find someone to blame.
But to better understand the patterns that continue showing up in the present.
As that understanding grows, many women begin relating differently to themselves.
They become less focused on fighting their reactions and more interested in understanding them.
They become more aware of what they are feeling, what they need, and what their body may be trying to communicate.
And from that place, change often feels less forced and more natural.
This is the foundation of Safety in the Body.
